A smooth viewing experience is what projector users wish to have. Sometimes, however, the projector may have an internet connection problem that it cannot connect to the Wi-Fi or disconnect suddenly during watching.
Why is Your Wireless Projector Unable to Connect to Wi-Fi?
Problems with Wi-Fi can occur from many sources, including internet service providers, routers, projectors, damaged or faulty cables and wires, etc. Here are some common issues that most people struggle with and can fix by yourselves.
1. The projector is too far from the router to search for the Wi-Fi signal.
2. The signal of the router is faulty.
3. The projector ignored the network previously.
4. There are too many devices connected to the same network, which may affect the processing of the network data by the processor of the router, resulting in network congestion, the network continuously connecting and disconnecting.
How to Fix an Unstable Internet Connection of Your Projector?
Many projectors may have issues with Wi-Fi connection during use. If your CUBE4 projector also encounters a network disconnection problem, please refer to the following solutions.
First, you need to ascertain if your other devices can connect to the same internet and work normally. If they cannot connect to the internet, the network may have a problem.
To fix the issue of Wi-Fi disconnection of your projector, you can follow the solutions below to the corresponding problems above.
1. Improve the Wi-Fi signal of the router.
Barriers such as walls can block or downgrade the strength of the signal from your Wi-Fi router. You can follow the following steps to guarantee a stable transmission of the Wi-Fi signal.
- Make sure the distance between your projector and the router is within 10ft (3m) - the same room is recommended.
- If the two are more than 10ft (3m) apart, move your projector closer to the router.
- If the location of the Wi-Fi router and the projector can’t be changed, try using a Wi-Fi repeater.
- Make sure there are no metal, thick walls, or hard materials blocking the Wi-Fi signal.
2. Restart your projector and the router. If possible, restore the router to factory settings.
Try to connect a different device (e.g. smartphone, tablet, PC) to your network via Wi-Fi to check if it can work normally.
If your projector’s Wi-Fi shows that the projector is indeed connected to the internet but the network still isn’t working or is very unstable, you can try restarting the projector, restarting the router, or resetting the router to factory settings.
3. Re-pair your projector with the Wi-Fi and connect.
Delete the Wi-Fi connection record and try to reconnect to the Wi-Fi by entering the password to add the network manually.
4. Connect your projector to other networks.
Turn off other devices in the same network, or connect your projector to your mobile phone’s hotspot, or another Wi-Fi network to see how it works.
If all the steps above cannot solve the problem, you can reset your projector by selecting Settings > Reset and trying to reconnect to the Wi-Fi.
Normally, most projectors’ network connection problems can be solved by the methods above. If it still doesn’t work, please update the projector system.
JIRENO CUBE4 Projector System Update
Go to Settings and select Update. Press Online Update and install, if available. If you don’t see an Update option, your unit’s system is already upgraded.
In Settings, go to Device Preferences. Select About and press System Update. If an update isn’t available, the system has upgraded automatically.
Before upgrading the system on a CUBE4 portable projector, please reserve ample time to upgrade and ensure your unit is connecting to the power. Do not attempt to turn off or use your projector during the update installation process.
Reset Your Device to Factory Settings
If you’ve tried all of the above suggestions and are still encountering a network error, you may need to factory reset your CUBE4 projector.
Factory resetting your device will clear any custom settings and uninstall all applications, returning it to its out-of-the-box state. Make sure you have all of your login passwords for any streaming apps in use and that you allow your projector ample time to properly reset and reboot.
It’s vital that your projector is plugged in during this process, so check if the LED lights indicating charging status are on and the correct color.
After the reset, reboot your CUBE4 projector and see if the network error still occurs.

Previously, we introduced the reason for cleaning projectors and the safety instructions when using the projector. In this passage, we will focus on the maintenance of JIRENO CUBE4 to extend its service life as long as possible.
What Kind of Environment Does CUBE4 Need to Operate?
Make sure to put it in a moisture-proof environment
JIRENO CUBE4 is a high-precision electronic product, which is very vulnerable to the erosion of the humid air, so there are certain requirements for indoor air humidity. The product can operate normally in an environment where the air humidity is about 45%--60%. If the air humidity exceeds or falls below this value range, CUBE4's working performance will be unstable, and even the machine will get serious damage.
If you live in a humid area such as London in Western Europe, and New England in the Northeastern United States, you'd better install a dehumidifier or turn on the dehumidification function of the air conditioner at home to reduce the indoor air humidity. In this way, it will result in the damage of the humid air to CUBE4 can be minimized to a certain extent. Additionally, if using the projector in a humid environment is unavoidable, the placement should be more particular. Setting CUBE4 in a well-ventilated place matters to ensure good air convection inside the projector. In normal environmental conditions, you can use CUBE4 reassuringly.
Running in Dust-free Environment is always better
For highly sophisticated electronic products, dust is a ubiquitous and terrible killer, most projectors will have the problem of images turning yellow and reduced brightness after hundreds of hours of use due to the electrostatic vacuuming on optics. Although JIRENO CUBE4 is equipped with a fully-sealed optical machine that prevents most dust from entering, users still need to pay attention to the dust-proof and dust-removing work of JIRENO CUBE4 when using it daily by cleaning the surface of the lens regularly. The lens is one of the essential components of the projector and is usually made of glass or resin material, which surface is easily scratched. It is recommended that you don’t need to clean it frequently and professional camera lens cleaning tools can be used to clean it.
How to Use And Store JIRENO CUBE4 Correctly?
Letting the projector cool is vital
Regardless of the type of projector, there will be a lot of heat generated inside after a long-time operation. If the heat is not expelled in time, the lamp and circuit board will age faster, and the service life of the projector will become shortened.
To let JIRENO CUBE4 dissipate heat efficiently, please set it in a place with ventilation on all sides. Do not place anything on the body, especially near its air vents. Once there is a ventilation environment around the projector, the machine can dissipate heat effectively. Moreover, thanks to the dual-fan heat dissipation system, the heatsink which conducts the heat can be kept cool by a pair of fans. Not only do they help to maintain a constant temperature, but they also operate at just 30 dB, lower than other projectors on the market.
Follow the instructions to operate it
When turning off the projector, many users choose to unplug the power cord directly instead of following the instructions. This dangerous action can easily cause the residual heat inside the projector to not be discharged in time, thereby damaging the projector components. It is suggested to use the remote control to turn off JIRENO CUBE4 and unplug the power cord after 30 seconds.
Like other electrical appliances, if JIRENO CUBE4 is not used for a long time, the internal components are prone to become moisture and aging. So let’s keep it in a sealed and dry storage bag, similar to a moisture-proof case for professional cameras. Unlike other projectors, JIRENO CUBE4 comes with a sturdy, fully-enclosed, and non-deformable storage bag.
Are There Any Risks When Using JIRENO CUBE4?
At present, most home projectors on the market have operation interfaces, which can be connected to the internet and perform operations like mobile phones. Due to the network connection, there is a certain risk of being invaded by external network viruses. Fortunately, JIRENO CUBE4 adopts a self-developed system with an inbuilt application market, providing multiple software, which can be reassuringly downloaded and used. At the same time, installing unknown applications should be avoided.
Besides, the built-in system of JIRENO CUBE4 will be continuously optimized and updated according to the review and feedback of users. When updating the version, the network should be kept unblocked and do not power off to prevent the machine from being unavailable due to the failure of the update.
For other precautions about JIRENO CUBE4 and other projectors, please check the previous blog. Hope you are satisfied with these tips of cleaning and maintaining the projector, and enjoy the viewing experience with JIRENO CUBE4.
Due to the impact of COVID-19, watching movies at home has become the main entertainment. The concept of watching movies on a large screen is deeply rooted in the hearts of people, making the market demand for projectors continue to increase.
Nevertheless, users may encounter several problems such as loud noise and unclear image display after using the projector for a while. Spots appearing on the screen, which is mainly caused by the dust on the lens or inside the machine, is the thing that users complain about the most.
Why does the Projector Accumulate Dust?
The heat dissipation of the LCD panel of the projector is generally air-cooled by a dedicated fan. When the high-speed airflow passes through the dust filter, it may carry tiny dust particles, and then may rub against each other to generate static electricity. The fine particles will be absorbed by the optical system of the projector, and the gradually accumulated fine particles can be seen on the projection screen and affect your viewing experience. In addition, the soot particles from smoking are more likely to be absorbed in the optical system.
A large number of home projectors have the problem of dust entering the projector, even some famous brands will receive customer complaints. However, JIRENO CUBE4 adopts fully-enclosed optomechanical technology, which greatly reduces the chance of dust particles entering the projector.
How to Clean the Projector Simply?
Dust removal is an essential step of projector maintenance, ensuring your projector has the original brightness and you can get the best image quality. The cumulative dust inside the projector will reduce the effect of the fan, causing heat to accumulate inside the projector and shorten its service life. Before cleaning the projector, please power off the projector and let it cool down, otherwise, the overheated lens may hurt you.
Step 1: Clean the External Case
Wipe the exterior of the projector with a soft cloth. You can also moisten the soft cloth with water if needed to remove stubborn dirt. Finally, wipe the case again to clean the dust completely.
Step 2: Clean the Lens
Feel Free to clean the lens whenever you find that there is dirt or dust on it. First, take off the lens cap and wipe it clean with a dry cloth. It’s recommended to use professional cleaning tools such as professional lens wipes and microfiber cloths when cleaning the lens. Then, use an air blower and lens brush to remove the dust on the lens. Gently wipe your lens with lens-cleaning paper. Be careful not to wipe with a cloth or towel that tends to shed lint, or with ordinary paper towels to avoid scratching the lens or incomplete cleaning.
The simple external cleaning work of the projector can be done by ourselves. Please ask professionals for help if you want to clean the interior of the projector, for that some parts such as the bulb and the projector color wheel are easily damaged. Pay attention to the order and strength when disassembling and assembling to avoid damage to the projector.
What Do You Need to Note When Using the Projector?
Besides avoiding the long-time use of the projector, you also need to protect the projector from strong collision, squeezing, and vibration. These dangerous actions can easily displace the internal chip, resulting in RGB color misalignment. The lens is prone to damage the track under the impact, leading to the possibility that the lens is easily blocked or even broken, making it unusable. In addition, the reflector of the optical system will also be deformed or damaged, affecting the projection effect and image zoom.
Here are some other safety instructions that you need to follow when using the projector.
- To ensure a steady power supply for the projector, please use the power supply circuit that meets your national electricity standard. Please use a grounded power outlet.
- Never let the projector get wet or let water get inside of itto prevent an electric shock.
- Unplug the power cord andpack the projector in a dust bag if the product is not going to be used for a long time to prevent dust from entering the machine and causing abnormal pictures.
- Use the original foam when transporting the product.
- Do not place the projector on anunstable platform, shelf, or soft surfaces such as sofa, fur rug.
- Do not use the machinenear water or heat sources.
- Do not touch the optical parts with your hands and hard objects. Do not open the lidwithout authorization.
- During the operation, do not block the inlet and outlet of the projectorto prevent the product from overheating.
- Do not place the power cord where it is easy to be stepped on to prevent the cords or plugs from being frayedor damaged.
- The power cord must be unplugged after turning the machine off and waiting for it to naturally cool to avoid indirectly shortening the lamp life.
Cleaning the projector is not as difficult as you think. The projector is a device that can be used for a long time if you do take good care of it.

You’ll be using “ANSI lumens” to express how bright the image of a projector will be as a result of the output of the lamp inside that projector. Of course, there are other factors that define the brightness of the image. For instance, projecting a black PowerPoint slide would not give a lot of brightness on the screen.
While a lamp manufacturer uses a laboratory setup to measure the entire light output to determine that output in lumen, projector makers follow an approach defined by the ANSI (the American National Standards Institute) in order to make projectors comparable to each other.
|ANSI Lumens||LED Lumens||
Light Source Lumens
Developed and defined by the internationally-recognized association, American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
Independently claimed by a small number of brands.
Internationally recognized standard.
Represent the brightness observed of an image that is projected onto a screen.
Quantify the brightness sensed by the human eye.
Indicate the brightness observed directly from a light source.
Scope of Use
Internationally-recognized standard suitable for all projectors.
Applicable only to certain LED projectors from a specified number of brands.
Normally used to indicate the brightness of the light source itself, but used by some manufacturers of single-panel LCD. projectors to misrepresent the projector’s overall brightness.
Average out the measured brightness of 9 distinct regions of a projection screen
Its method of measurement is designed by the companies themselves, which allows them to claim their LED projectors are brighter to the human eye than traditional projectors. Such methods have not been certified by any international organizations.
Directly measure the light source’s brightness.
