How to Connect TV Box to JIRENO CUBE4 Home Projector?

How to Connect TV Box to JIRENO CUBE4 Home Projector?

Home projectors on the market can be generally divided into traditional projectors and smart projectors according to whether they have an inbuilt operating system or not. Traditional projectors only have the projection function and need an external signal source. Android TV Box and Chromecast are good choices as external devices for playing streaming media.

How to Use Android TV Box with a Traditional Projector?

Android TV Box is similar to a wired TV streaming device, but it enables your non-smart TV to connect to the internet and play videos of streaming media like YouTube, Netflix, etc., with a screen. Connect the Android TV box to your projector via an HDMI cable, then select the corresponding signal source and control it via the remote control to watch streaming media installed in the box. To achieve the effect of stereo sound, you can also connect your projector to a soundbar or a speaker via a USB cable.

If you have a cable box, you can connect it to the projector via an HDMI cable directly, and then you can watch traditional TV programs. From this perspective, compared to the traditional television, a portable home projector is more suitable to save more space.

How to Use Chromecast with a Conventional Projector?

The Chromecast runs a simplified version of Chrome OS. You can cast the videos on the screen via Chromecast when connecting your mobile phone or tablet with the projector in the same Wi-Fi network. Here are the specific steps below.

Step 1: Plug the power cable into your Chromecast, then plug the Chromecast into your projector’s HDMI port and plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.

Step 2: Download the app that works with the Chromecast on your phone and set it up.

Step 3: Open a video app such as Netflix, tap the casting icon in the top right. Select your Chromecast device to connect.

JIRENO CUBE4, a smart home projector, is equipped with the self-developed JI-OS intelligent advanced system, allowing you to use the projector like a smart TV. It also offers incredible color fidelity, letting you enjoy the most realistic colors you can get from a projector under $300. With the out-of-the-box feature, this projector can produce a vibrant and vivid image without too much adjustment, which is friendly to the green hand of projectors.

Can JIRENO CUBE4 be Connected with External Devices?

Several common apps are pre-installed in the projector that you can freely use. In addition, to get more entertainments, you can connect the CUBE4 to multiple types of TV box and follow the instructions above to set up.

For other apps that you cannot search in the Play Store, you can download the APK into the U-disk from your computer, and then install the app into the projector.

To sum up, CUBE4 is a compact home projector suitable for all ages. Even if the elderly do not know all the functions, it is easy to connect to an external device.

4 Different Ways to Adjust the Image with JIRENO CUBE4

To ensure that JIRENO CUBE4 presents a rectangular image, you can adjust it via the keystone correction or four point correction.

Keystone Correction

If you should bump against CUBE4 inadvertently, letting it move slightly out of place, the keystone correction will quickly calculate the change in keystone error and readjust the image in time. Although it only supports vertical keystone correction for now that you can only adjust the length of the image to achieve a rectangular image, its auto-focus and four point correction function will make up for this shortcoming, and it will not affect your use.

How to Clean and Maintain Projectors?

How to Clean and Maintain Projectors?

Due to the impact of COVID-19, watching movies at home has become the main entertainment. The concept of watching movies on a large screen is deeply rooted in the hearts of people, making the market demand for projectors continue to increase.

Nevertheless, users may encounter several problems such as loud noise and unclear image display after using the projector for a while. Spots appearing on the screen, which is mainly caused by the dust on the lens or inside the machine, is the thing that users complain about the most.

Why does the Projector Accumulate Dust?

The heat dissipation of the LCD panel of the projector is generally air-cooled by a dedicated fan. When the high-speed airflow passes through the dust filter, it may carry tiny dust particles, and then may rub against each other to generate static electricity. The fine particles will be absorbed by the optical system of the projector, and the gradually accumulated fine particles can be seen on the projection screen and affect your viewing experience. In addition, the soot particles from smoking are more likely to be absorbed in the optical system.

A large number of home projectors have the problem of dust entering the projector, even some famous brands will receive customer complaints. However, JIRENO CUBE4 adopts fully-enclosed optomechanical technology, which greatly reduces the chance of dust particles entering the projector.

PROJECTOR-LENS

How to Clean the Projector Simply?

Dust removal is an essential step of projector maintenance, ensuring your projector has the original brightness and you can get the best image quality. The cumulative dust inside the projector will reduce the effect of the fan, causing heat to accumulate inside the projector and shorten its service life. Before cleaning the projector, please power off the projector and let it cool down, otherwise, the overheated lens may hurt you.

Step 1: Clean the External Case

Wipe the exterior of the projector with a soft cloth. You can also moisten the soft cloth with water if needed to remove stubborn dirt. Finally, wipe the case again to clean the dust completely.

Step 2: Clean the Lens

Feel Free to clean the lens whenever you find that there is dirt or dust on it. First, take off the lens cap and wipe it clean with a dry cloth. It’s recommended to use professional cleaning tools such as professional lens wipes and microfiber cloths when cleaning the lens. Then, use an air blower and lens brush to remove the dust on the lens. Gently wipe your lens with lens-cleaning paper. Be careful not to wipe with a cloth or towel that tends to shed lint, or with ordinary paper towels to avoid scratching the lens or incomplete cleaning.

Wipe-the-lens

The simple external cleaning work of the projector can be done by ourselves. Please ask professionals for help if you want to clean the interior of the projector, for that some parts such as the bulb and the projector color wheel are easily damaged. Pay attention to the order and strength when disassembling and assembling to avoid damage to the projector.

What Do You Need to Note When Using the Projector?

Besides avoiding the long-time use of the projector, you also need to protect the projector from strong collision, squeezing, and vibration. These dangerous actions can easily displace the internal chip, resulting in RGB color misalignment. The lens is prone to damage the track under the impact, leading to the possibility that the lens is easily blocked or even broken, making it unusable. In addition, the reflector of the optical system will also be deformed or damaged, affecting the projection effect and image zoom.

Here are some other safety instructions that you need to follow when using the projector.

  1. To ensure a steady power supply for the projector, please use the power supply circuit that meets your national electricity standard. Please use a grounded power outlet.
  2. Never let the projector get wet or let water get inside of itto prevent an electric shock.
  3. Unplug the power cord andpack the projector in a dust bag if the product is not going to be used for a long time to prevent dust from entering the machine and causing abnormal pictures.
  4. Use the original foam when transporting the product.
  5. Do not place the projector on anunstable platform, shelf, or soft surfaces such as sofa, fur rug.
  6. Do not use the machinenear water or heat sources.
  7. Do not touch the optical parts with your hands and hard objects. Do not open the lidwithout authorization.
  8. During the operation, do not block the inlet and outlet of the projectorto prevent the product from overheating.
  9. Do not place the power cord where it is easy to be stepped on to prevent the cords or plugs from being frayedor damaged.
  10. The power cord must be unplugged after turning the machine off and waiting for it to naturally cool to avoid indirectly shortening the lamp life.

Cleaning the projector is not as difficult as you think. The projector is a device that can be used for a long time if you do take good care of it.

How to determine the bright of the projector

How to determine the bright of the projector

You’ll be using “lumens” to express how much light a lamp - or another light source - produces, regardless of the direction that light goes into.

You’ll be using “ANSI lumens” to express how bright the image of a projector will be as a result of the output of the lamp inside that projector. Of course, there are other factors that define the brightness of the image. For instance, projecting a black PowerPoint slide would not give a lot of brightness on the screen.

While a lamp manufacturer uses a laboratory setup to measure the entire light output to determine that output in lumen, projector makers follow an approach defined by the ANSI (the American National Standards Institute) in order to make projectors comparable to each other.
(ANSI brightness, LED brightness, and light source brightness)
The most common knowledge is how to determine the brightness of the projector. But when many of these consumers actually look into the issue, they end up facing a bigger puzzle: how to make sense of the various brightness specifications listed on the market. This issue is a result of the fact that some brands on the market choose not to use the internationally-recognized brightness standard adopted by the majority of their peers, ANSI brightness, but instead advertise brightness specs different from others. This is a table of ANSI brightness, LED brightness, and light source brightness clarification for your reference

  ANSI Lumens LED Lumens

Light Source Lumens

Origins
Developed and defined by the internationally-recognized association, American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
Independently claimed by a small number of brands.

Internationally recognized standard.

Purpose
Represent the brightness observed of an image that is projected onto a screen.
Quantify the brightness sensed by the human eye.

Indicate the brightness observed directly from a light source.

Scope of Use
Internationally-recognized standard suitable for all projectors.
Applicable only to certain LED projectors from a specified number of brands.

Normally used to indicate the brightness of the light source itself, but used by some manufacturers of single-panel LCD. projectors to misrepresent the projector’s overall brightness.

Calculation Method
Average out the measured brightness of 9 distinct regions of a projection screen
Its method of measurement is designed by the companies themselves, which allows them to claim their LED projectors are brighter to the human eye than traditional projectors. Such methods have not been certified by any international organizations.

Directly measure the light source’s brightness.
